My Words...

If I could only make one sound
The sound I'd want to make
Would be one I'd lift up to Him
As I offer up my praise

If only one noise I could make
I'd make it every day
And in my mind and in my heart
I'd say "Holy is Your name"

If I only had one thing
That my lips could surely say
I would make it sound just like a song
And sing my praise today....

But God has blessed me with my words
The ones that I produce
So I'll use this gift that came from Him
To build up, not reduce

So I'll build up praise
And build up others
And build up His great name

And I'll speak my words
With every chance
So others hear my praise

I'll let them know
And let the hear
How amazing that He is

And I'll preach the words
From His Word
And speak the truth it is

I'll speak with boldness
I'll speak with honor
And I'll speak to all I can

And I'll speak with love
As He did
When He came down as a man

So join me with your words
And before they leave your tongue
Let each one glorify The One
And glorify His Son.
