Push Through....

Today's blog isn't a long one, but I pray it's one that someone needed to read....
When you're up against opposition push through. The enemy wants to take you down the worst when he knows you're on the right path. When you put your focus on God and you set forth to do His will, expect the enemy to throw everything he can at you to distract you or derail you. He will come after your weakness, he will bring in temptation, he will try to bring hardship in your life. He wants you to lose hope, he wants to give up, he want you to become discouraged...but it's in these times that we find out how strong God truly is IF we rely on him for our strength. The enemy is not the only one that knows our weaknesses, God also knows all of our weaknesses and when we confess those to God and ask for strength, we've already begun to defeat the enemy. Jesus was spending 40 days fasting and praying when the enemy came after him...and he thought he knew Jesus' weakness. (see Matthew 4) He thought he knew where and how to attack Jesus, but Jesus knew how to stand up against Satan during the time when he was weak. It wasn't that He defeated Satan because He was Jesus, He defeated Satan because He knew how to handle the situation. He used the Word that he buried deep down in His heart and His mind to speak out to Satan and put him in his place. The enemy doesn't have any new tricks and tried to take Jesus down at a time when He knew it was critical...a time when he felt very threatened by what was going on in Jesus' life. This is the same thing the enemy does the us every day. He wants to take us down when he knows were being most affected for God. Be aware that it's not just your life that you wants to take down. He knows that he if he takes you down then you won't reach the people that your supposed to...that God needs you to. In the name of Jesus, push through and put the enemy in his place! When we speak in the authority of Jesus Christ the enemy has not choice but to flee. (see James 4:7)
God, we know that You ask us to bury Your Word in our heart so when (not if) the enemy comes after us we can use it to defeat him. Help us be discipline enough to do that! Help us see the tactics of the enemy and be humble enough to come to You for strength in the areas where we know we are weak. Give us Your wisdom to recognize the attacks of the enemy. And even if he trips us up, let us know that you are there to stop us from completely falling down! Thank You for that God! In Jesus name, Amen
