He feels our pain

We go through life and either watch someone experience something extremely painful, or we go through something extremely painful ourselves. One of the first questions we always ask is why did this happen? Even though I don't have the exact answer to that, I do know this....Jesus went through more pain than any of us will experience in this lifetime. And God had to experience and feel the pain His son went through. So our Father and Savior are no strangers to pain or having to endure it. However, Jesus put himself through that pain voluntarily for us. When I think of that, it puts a whole different prospective on what we experience. If you have ever gone through something so hard that you thought it was going to be the end of you...I in no way am downplaying the pain you felt, but take that pain and imagine experiencing it voluntarily for someone else's sake. That is the Savior that we serve...that is the God that wants to hold us and carry us through our own pain. If you are going through something that feels crushing, ask Him to help you get through it because He want to and He will.
(see 1 Peter 4:12-13)
